Maurice Thompson has litigated high-impact constitutional rights cases across Ohio since founding the 1851 Center for Constitutional Law in 2008.
Focusing on property rights, taxpayers’ rights, entrepreneurial rights, health freedom, free speech, Maurice has defeated state and local regulations across the spectrum, ranging from pandemic shutdowns, overreaching eminent domain, and abusive zoning to forced medical treatments, interior home inspections, unlawful taxes and fees, and “public” school corruption. His Ohio Health Care Freedom Amendment and Ohio Estate Tax Elimination Act have become law, as have his words in numerous legislative acts limiting government.
Maurice evens the playing field for Ohioans in these high-stakes battles by refusing to charge fees or accept payment from clients.
Maurice does not accept phone calls, but does respond to emails illustrating alignment with the values and strategies of the 1851 Center at MThompson@OhioConstitution.org.
